I accidentally found this bat, Asian Parti-colored Bat: Vespertilio sinensis.

I released this bad after taking several photos.

Chestnut-Cheeked Starling sucked syrup of Japanese plum.

A record of birding in Teuri Island, Hokkaido on 16-17, May, 2009.
Though Only lifer for me was got (Chestnut-Flanked White-Eye; red marked), several rare species were observed in this trip (green marked).
Swinhoe's Robin was my lifer, but I couldn't observe.

I was tired to translate Japanese names to English names.

Rhinoceros Auklet

I went to Teuri island to see birds migration and Rhinoceros Auklet.

About three hundled thousands pairs bleed in this island.

At the morning, 2:00 A.M., they are out of nest to hunt their prey.

Long-tailed Rose Finch

They ate flower of Fuki.
I didn't know whether they were couple, other male one fed around here and two males fed on this food side by side.

Steller Sea Lion

Steller Sea Lions come Hokkaido at spring.

They hunt herring at night and sleep on cay at daytime.
There were about 40 on the same cay, though some cays were found around here.

They were seemed to be very sleepy.

Brown eared bulbul

Brown-eared Bulbul(Hypsipetes amaurotis) is very common speicies in Japan.

So, many birders don't see this species hardly.

This species is said to have eight subspecies in Japan.

This photo's one is the most common subspecies: H.a.amaurotis.
