Snow fall

Much snow fell in Sapporo, it changed white in this morning.

A flock of Tree Sparrow fed on seed of grass in front of my flat.

Waxwings

Waxwigs had come to Hokkaido.
Two species, Japanese and Bohemian, habit in Japan.

They eat fruit of Japanese Rowan.


Ooops.


They can be identify for their color of their tail, Japanese is red and Bohemian is yellow.

Tomakomai Cruise -Kittiwakes and ...-

I organized cruise at 6th, almost Shearwaters had gone away. Instead of them, thousands of Kittiwakes stayed this sea area.




In this assemblage, Buller's Shearwater was on the sea.

I saw it 5 times. It was very exciting.




Many Red-throated Diver can be seen in this season.
 Now Brent are migration.

Chipmunk

I went to Maruyama to take photo of chipmunk again.
I observed two individuals at short range.
They will be hibernation until next month.
