Tokachi river

I went to Tokachi.

At first, I moved to Tokachi river where was well known as a duck spot and there are rare species.
A Ring-necked Duck comes to this river every year.

This individual was difficult to be taken photo because it kept staying at backlight position.

American Wigeon.

  1. Excellent set of pictures. I also have a drake ring-necked duck coming to a river just 10 minutes away from home and that's a rare species over here too. It is all the time nice to see him!

  2. Great photos especially the wigeon!
I haven't seen both the Ring-necked and American Wigeon before. Kyushu is just too far south for them....
