I went birding only morning last Saturday.
Red Squirrel.
Summer visitors came to Sapporo.
In this time, I only took photo of only Short-tailed Bush Warbler.
Surprisingly, Brown-eared Bulbul caught a cicada. I was aware cicadas already emerged they will sing in a few days. Summer is comming, though it is still cold.
Carrion Crow.

Snow shoes and bird
I went to Nishioka park, Sapporo in January 6 before noon for birding through snow shoes trek.
Brown-eared Bulbul.
Great tit.
Eurasian Nuthatch.
Great Spotted Woodpecker.
On the snow shoes trek, I usually seek foot-prints of mammals.
I could find two foot-prints.
Red fox's (Vulpes vulpes).
Mountain Hare's (Lepus timidus).

Birds feeding
A day in December, I took photos of birds' feeding behavior walking around Teganuma, Chiba prefecture.
Northern Pintails (Anas acuta) fed on lawn grass.

Dusky Thrush (Turdus naumanni) fed on a dried fruit.

Common Coot (Fulica atra) ate floated grass and alga on pole in water.

Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) were striped reeds and search bugs but I couldn't see their catching bug.

In opposite, Siberian Meadow Bunting (Emberiza cioides) picked reeds' spike.

Brown-eared Bulbul (Hypsipetes amaurotis) ate peal of mandarin orange.

White-cheeked Starling (Sturnus cineraceus) fed on fruit, I don't know name of this tree.
