Shorebirds in Mukawa

There were two pair of Bar-tailed Godwit in Mukawa.
Focus of the male was mistook...

Female.

Rufous-necked Sandpiper and Grey-tailed Tattler (no photo) were at the same place.

Though I couldn't take a photo, there were Ruddy Turnstone at harbor.

All photos in Mukawa, Hokkaido. 15/May/2010.

  1. Nice Godwit shots. Mukawa is one of my favorite sites in Hokkaido, I wish it were nearer Hakodate!

  2. Interesting to see the pair shot.
The female looks a bit larger...or is that only a matter of position.

  3. Rufous-necked Stints... a week ago we had 2,000 here in Hong Kong - they should be with you in Japan by now !

    Nice Fox photos..

Unfortunately it will not become free way between Otoshibe IC and Tomakomai IC.

I think the angle made male smaller.

    Oh 2000!
But there are fewer individuals come to Hokkaido in Spring than Autumn.
